Fund Raising Activities

Our 2024 selection of Valentine’s cards were available at Braunton Deli

Our Christmas cards for 2023

In October 2022 we were pleased to announce we had been chosen again for the Co-op Local Community Fund and we received over £2000 in November 2023!

After the succes of our Tombola Stalls last year we will be having another one this year at the Braunton Village Fair on 29th May 2023 – come and find us and have a go – every go wins a prize!

Our Annual Love Braunton Quiz returned in 2022 with takings over £300!

Love Braunton raise funds for specific projects and for a fighting fund for any future issues that will impact our community. So far we have purchased and installed Air Quality Monitors in various sites around the village, purchased and sown wild flower seeds on verges around the village and funded a replacement tree for the village green.

#

With the help of funding from the Co-op we have also been able to install four planters in Braunton.

Love Braunton’s stall is seen at various village events including the Blessing of the new Tree on the village green, the regular Cricket Club charity event, the annual Village Fair and the Summer Big Bash on the Rec.

#

2022 – we held a very successful Tombola stalls at the Jubilee Village Fair organised by Rotary in June and at the Summer Bash in August:

An ongoing source of income is from selling our logo’d merchandise which includes fridge magnets, keyrings, notebooks, car window stickers, cotton bags and a vast selection of greetings cards.

#

In the village our greetings cards are on sale in Fine Foods of Braunton. Our cotton bags are known to be sold in the village at Slees and Fine Foods and also at The Good Stores in Ashford. We urge you to come along and check out our wares.

A key fund raising activity is our annual fun filled evening with a quiz and a raffle. The 2019 event at The Quay Café was such a success – (we were a bit taken aback by the numbers attending). The word had evidently spread far and wide – an evening not to be missed!  In response we decided there would be two quiz evenings – summer and winter. The 2020 dates of course had to be cancelled. As soon as future dates are in the diary you will know.

Activities around the Village

In 2020 we planted all the verges along Velator way with native wild-flowers seeds, as well as in between the Countryside Centre and Surf Museum. In 2021 we also planted along the main road to Knowle.

Look out for the flowers in 2023!
